Prior experience in building and marketing certification programs is required for this position. The Utility Safety & Ops Leadership Network (USOLN) provides certifications for utilities and their contractor partners located in the U.S. and Canada. Individuals who pass required exams earn and maintain their CUSP Credential – Certified Utility Safety Professional.   • The Certification Program Director is responsible for researching, planning, developing, implementing and growing the organization’s certification programs.
Responsibilities typically include the following:
  • Serves and supports the CUSP community by building strong communications with individuals seeking to earn the credential as well as assisting active credential holders in maintaining their credentials.
  • Attends USOLN Board meetings and is prepared to respond to questions/concerns as needed. Presents CUSP program status reports. Leads group discussions to answer questions and remedy complaints.
  • Participates in creating and delivering effective marketing/communications within the organization.
  • Builds a strong team through open communication and by collaborating on decision-making responsibilities.
  • Initiates and set goals for programs based on the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Plans programs from start to finish, including identifying processes, deadlines and milestones.
  • Develops and approves operations and budgets.
  • Coordinates with the utility industry exam development team to produce and continuously improve certification exams.
  • Plans growth programs from start to finish, including identifying processes, deadlines and milestones.
  • Develops and approves operations and budgets in tandem with the USOLN Program Director and COO.
